Review by Sue Steer, who is the churches' Community Development Worker on the new Lubbesthorpe housing development:

An easily accessible little book for people who are beginning to think about how to create community and start church from scratch (as oppose to traditional church planting) on new housing estates.  The authors write from their own experiences giving helpful advice and information for church leaders as they consider getting involved in a new development through to a pioneer minister moving in and what might emerge.  They talk about some very practical issues as well as considering the missional themes that often emerge in this type of ministry.  The booklet is also honest in acknowledging the joys and challenges that pioneering in new housing areas can bring but recognises each context is unique.
