On Monday 12th April 2021, over 70 people gathered on ZOOM from across the Northampton Methodist District to celebrate what different Churches and Circuits across the District are doing in relation to Eco Church. In addition, everyone looked forward with hope for the future and shared ideas around what action we can take.

Northampton District Eco Club

Lydia Barratt, a Young Leaders Scheme participant and a Green Champion for the District, has created a brand new Eco Club concept. The notion of the Eco Club was developed before COVID-19, so the next few months of how you use this material might be a bit different. Our aim is to make this an inclusive and accessible resource. We pray that you will take the time to participate in using the resource because you are passionate about the planet and tackling climate change, or are looking to find out more.

Below is the first edition, it is designed so that you can take part individually at home. However, you might also want to contact your friends, family and fellow Church or Circuit members (via the phone or online) to share your experience. The first edition will introduce you to this exciting concept, whilst providing you with practical steps on how you can take responsibility and action to tackle our climate change.

Enjoy!

Edition 1 - July 2020

Lydia Barratt, a Young Leaders Scheme participant and Green Champion for the District, has created the second edition of the Northampton District Eco club.  Our aim is to make this an inclusive and accessible resource. We pray that you will take the time to participate in using the resource because you are passionate about the planet and tackling climate change, or are looking to find out more. Thank you for the support of the first edition, it is really encouraging to know that so many people in our district are environmentally conscious.

Below is the second edition, it is designed so that you can take part individually at home. However, you might also want to contact your friends, family and fellow Church or Circuit members (via the phone or online) to share your experience. This edition focuses on plastic and the impact that it has on marine life.

Enjoy!
