Methodist Way of Life

Together Mission Handbook

Together Missions were an initiative taken in this District following the shape and style of the Newcastle District's aims and directions for the Mission. It involves partnering with other Circuits to further the work of outreach in the place where you live.

The handbook (available here) covers all you need to know about the work of mission. From doing activites in your community to being and online presence, from door-to-door to being a welcoming Church, from home visits to listening skills, from avoiding Church jargon to telling your story, from Messy Church to Prayer-walking, this helpful manual will give you the first steps to making your own way to mission in your locality, perhaps doing this with friends from other Circuits around the Northampton District.

For more details, contact Matt Forsyth, District Mission Enabler.

Reconciliation and Mediation Team (RMT) Project e-Launch

Watch the e-launch of this pilot project and challenge your preconceptions about difference in the church and discover how conflict can bring about positive change and create exciting new opportunities.

During this time, as our Church buildings are closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are all learning to adapt and adjust so that we can function as a society and as a Church.

We are Church even when we can not attend Church, and a way of being Church is to communicate, share and worship in different and perhaps new forms.

The Northampton District Circuits are providing a wealth of prayer and reflection as well as family activities. Lots of Circuits now have their own you tube channels and facebook pages.

The district hosts a private Facebook group about creativity and faith. The group is called Create! and exists to help people create new Christian communities and to encourage existing Christian communities to be creative. If you would like to join please find us below and answer the questions you'll be asked, also agreeing to the rules.
